Year 6
|
Learning Link: Keep Calm and Carry OnOur learning takes us deeper into the world around us with a focus on Climate Change, pollution and surviving in the wild against the odds. It is also the final term of your child’s education at Primary School, so there will also be a focus on reflecting on these special years as well as looking forward to the future at secondary school. -- |

Homework |
HOMEWORK We ask that the children continue to read every day, recording their reading in their homework diaries. We will be sending home books and books unless your child is a ‘free reader’. Please login and use TTrockstars for continued times table practice. Spelling tests will take place every Friday and then new spellings will be set for the following week. We ask that spellings are practised between 4-5 times per week and that words are written into sentences or paragraphs (if they make sense!) to aid application. Additionally, each week children are given definition and sentence sheets to finish off at home. CGP Summer workout 4 and spellings were set on 5th June and due in on the 12th of June. Geography Homework – due Monday 8th June. Research one of the biomes we learnt about this week in more detail: what extra interesting facts can you find out? The research MUST be in your own words. Present your research creatively and neatly, using the computer or handwritten and drawn. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z849q6f/articles/zvsp92p https://kids.britannica.com/kids/article/biome/403913 https://www.ducksters.com/science/ecosystems/world_biomes.php |
