School Meals

Our in-school catering is provided by Innovate, part of Impact Food Group.

At Innovate, we believe that great food fuels great learning. Our new menu has been specially designed for primary school children—offering tasty, nutritious meals that support healthy growth, curious minds, and happy lunchtimes.

Designed for Young Appetites: We use simple, child-friendly language and offer familiar, comforting meals that help children feel confident trying new flavours—like Creamy Korma or pasta with a rich tomato and lentil sauce.

Health and Nutrition First: We’re passionate about creating meals that taste good and do good. Our menus are packed with the nutrients growing children need and meet all School Food Plan standards.

Fresh, Colourful, and Seasonal: To introduce children to a wider range of ingredients, we’re using more seasonal vegetables and bright, colourful produce throughout the year—not just the usual sweetcorn and peas.

Sustainable and Smart: We’re committed to reducing food waste by making the most of every ingredient. Dishes like our Cauliflower Pasta Bake use the whole vegetable— leaves, stalks, and all—without sacrificing taste or appeal.

Inclusive for Every Child: We’ve developed a range of allergen-aware meals that are free from gluten, dairy, eggs, and soya—ensuring that every child can enjoy lunch safely, confidently, and without compromise on nutrition.

Save £500 a Year with Free School Meals: All children in EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 get a free hot lunch every day—no need to register.

If your child is in Year 3 or above, you could still be entitled to free school meals if you receive certain benefits. It’s worth checking—families can save over £500 a year per child, and it helps the school too.

If your child is in Year 3 or above, the cost per meal is £2.88 from September 2025; you must have a positive balance to place orders.

Ordering School Meals

All school lunches are ordered through a personalised ordering App 'Impact Food'. You should have received direct communication from Innovate with a personalised link to their meal ordering app. This allows parents to order meals directly with the provider and to submit allergy information, which  goes straight to the Chef Manager in the kitchen.

Important: School meals must be ordered via the app and at least 1 week in advance. Orders will need to be placed by Sunday evening for the week ahead.

Packed Lunches

Packed lunches are eaten in the same area as School Meals. We ask that you DO NOT bring nuts or snacks containing nuts into school at any time.

We strive to be a healthy school and teach the children about healthy choices when it comes to food. When thinking about the content of your child’s packed lunch please do try to ensure that they are getting a balanced and nutritious meal that will help sustain them through the day. ​

Snacks

In the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) fresh fruit is provided every morning and water is always available. Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) parents are asked to provide a healthy snack such as fresh or dried fruit. We ask that you DO NOT bring nuts or snacks containing nuts into school at any time.
