Secondary Transfers

We work with all of our Year 6s to ensure that their transfer to Key Stage 3 and secondary school is as smooth as possible. All of our children take part in tailored transition sessions and we invite the Year 7 leads from St Peter’s and from George Abbot to  meet the children and their teachers to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. We encourage all of our Year 6 children to attend the Open Days at the local secondary schools and the schools arrange their own transition days in the summer term which we support.

Every year a number of our children move to Year 7 at other schools including many of our local independent schools such as RGS, Tormead, St Catherine’s, Guildford High School and others.
