About

Admissions

We would love you to choose St Thomas of Canterbury as the school for your child.

The best way to find out if a school is right for your child is to come and visit us.

Open Evening 6.30pm Wednesday 4th November 2020

DUE TO NUMBER RESTRICTIONS YOU MUST PRE BOOK A PLACE BY EMAILING admissions@st-thomas.surrey.sch.uk

There will be a presentation by Mr Lewin and the opportunity to meet our Early Years’ team. Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic situation, we won’t be offering tours of the school led by our Year 6 children but we will be sharing a “virtual tour” recorded by them and a video presentation by our Year 6 School Council Chairs.

If you are unable to attend the Open event then please do contact our Admissions Officer, Mrs Sahar Tahouri, to organise a tour on another date (admissions@st-thomas.surrey.sch.uk)

Our School Chairs have put together a slide show presentation and you can find out why they think St Thomas is so good by watching it for yourself!

St. Thomas of Canterbury School is a voluntary aided Catholic primary co-educational school. The school was founded by and is part of the Catholic Church and is conducted as a Catholic school in accordance with the canon law and teachings of the Catholic Church and in accordance with the Trust Deed of the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton.

The Governors aim to offer a Catholic education. They expect all parents applying for a place at St. Thomas of Canterbury School to respect the mission statement and Catholic ethos of the School and its importance to the school community. The School fully respects the beliefs of parents and children from all denominations and faith backgrounds and whilst Catholic children are given priority under our Admissions Policy, we welcome all children to our school family. Children are taught respect and tolerance for others and there is provision in the religious education programme for the study of different faiths.

The school was set up primarily to serve the Catholic community in the Guildford Parish. The relevant parish map can be viewed at St. Thomas of Canterbury School and is attached to the Admissions Policy document for 2018-19 and on.
