Home Learning during the school Closure

Learning at home in Year 2

Whilst we are at home and not at school for our learning, you will find some good learning activities on this page – it will grow and grow over time! Some of them are highlighted in your learning packs and others are just good fun!

Week beginning 13th July

Dear Year 2,

We can’t believe it’s our last week of term!  Your daily challenge today is to draw a map of your garden or a room in your house.  Put a treasure box (a small box with a few treats) somewhere in your garden or room and mark it on your map.  Invite a family member or friend to try and find it.
Have fun,
The Year 2 Team

Worship ideas

Try to make some time each day to reflect and think about what you have done.
It’s easy for us to think of things we would like from God, but it’s important to spend some time thinking about what we are thankful for too.
It might be someone in your family who helped you, a brother or sister who shared something with you, a delicious meal you ate or the beauty of nature.
Use the template attached, or make your own, to create your own thankfulness prayer.  You could add to it daily, but make sure you keep reading it as a reminder of the many things we have that we should be grateful for.

Transition to Year 3

This week in school we would have been enjoying our Transition Day, a chance to be in our new year groups with our new teachers. We cannot do that in person but here is the PowerPoint to support your home learning activities around the transition. Please don’t forget to bring your completed learning booklet back to school in September for your new teacher.
