Brilliant Book Week… and snow!

We have had a brilliant Book week. It was a real pleasure to welcome children’s author, Steve Webb, to St Thomas’ to share the week with us and he certainly helped inspire some amazing writing right across the school. The children have all written a book and the stories are great and the writing is very impressive too! The week began on Monday with the whole school trying to guess Mr Lewin’s favourite books from his very dodgy acting and ended on Friday with us all in costume and sharing the books that we had written with children from other classes. The latest edition of The Thomas’ Times has much more about the fun we had! Meanwhile the “Beast from the East” was doing its worst but we are proud to say we stayed open… thank you to everyone who helped make that possible and even though we didn’t get a snow day we did get the chance on Friday to leave a little early and enjoy the last of the snow! Have a look at our Snowman Competition photos!
