Kuba and Amalia stars at the Catenian’s Public Speaking Competition

After winning through our very own and inaugural Public Speaking Competition, Amalia and Kuba went on to represent the school at the Woking Catenian’s Public Speaking Competition held at St Dunstan’s Church last Wednesday. They were up against extremely tough competition and did exceptionally well, just failing to make the top three. There were 16 finalists in all from 8 Catholic schools from Thames Ditton to Farnham. Amalia’s speech was all about the “interesting” habits of her family members(!) and concluded with the fact that we all love the uniqueness of our family and we thank God for that. Kuba took a far more serious line with a well argued look at overpopulation: cause, effects and ideas for easing the problems that can be created. Both were a huge credit to us all.
